    The PiHi Alliance has been awarded a $60,000 commercial district grant from the Atlanta BeltLine to explore the feasibility of a Community Improvement District (CID) for the Monroe/Piedmont/Cheshire Bridge corridors. 

      • The PiHi Alliance has contracted with the KB Advisory Group for the feasibility study starting this week and will take 12 weeks to complete. 


    Over the next 12 months, the PiHi Alliance will embark on a development process that will include: 

    • Community engagement at the second annual Taste of PiHi.

    • Gauging interest and support from commercial property owners within the corridors. 

    • Building a PiHi Alliance CID steering committee of commercial property owners to assist the process. 

    • Creating the district operations, boundaries and purpose.

    NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY


    Tuesday, September 17

    2 - 6 PM


    National Voter Registration Day is the largest non-partisan civic holiday dedicated to helping eligible citizens register to vote. MARTA has partnered with non-partisan community organizations to raise awareness and promote active participation in elections.


    Registration will be held at the following stations:

    • Five Points

    • College Park

    • H.E. Holmes

    • Lindbergh Center

    • Doraville

    • Kensington

    • North Springs


    To register to vote during any of these events, attendees must present a state identification card or state-issued driver’s license or be prepared to provide the last four digits of their Social Security number.

    The City of Atlanta’s Nightlife Division is conducting a study to detail the unique significance of Atlanta’s nightlife culture and how the city’s nightlife industry supports the local economy. The purpose of this survey is to understand customer behavior and perceptions of Atlanta’s nightlife.

    The survey should take 5 minutes to complete. All answers will be kept anonymous.

A passionate advocate for his community, he is committed to supporting local businesses and contributing to the Alliance's mission. Outside of his professional endeavors, Leroy is deeply involved at the Mayson Chapel Baptist Church, which has served the Armour-Ottley community for over one hundred years.

    The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) is launching our Moving Atlanta Forward (MAF) Bond 2.0 Public Art Projects, by commissioning 24 Utility Box Murals and 24 Mural Bike Racks. The OCA seeks proposals from Metro Atlanta visual artists to paint metal bike racks and utility boxes.

    Previous public art experience is not required. Artists will receive $2000 per project; this budget is all-inclusive.

    Submissions are due by 11:59 PM, Sunday, June 30th, 2024. We will be posting additional information on upcoming opportunities HERE .

      • The creation of a BID requires support from at least 51 percent of the municipal taxpayers of the district proposed for creation or municipal taxpayers owning at least 51 percent of the taxable property subject to ad valorem real and personal property taxation in the district.
