March Small Business Grants

March 02, 2026 12:03 PM | Anonymous

Small business owners strongly believe their businesses are on the upswing — and that comes after a year of tariffs, rising costs and overall uncertainty.

The latest Small Business Check Up Survey by the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council found that 71% of small businesses said their business improved financially in 2025 over 2024, and 84% said their performance met or exceeded their expectations.

About 22% of small business owners said their businesses are “thriving” while 46% said they had seen modest growth, and 24% said they were stable.

For business owners that want to take advantage of new opportunities or invest in new areas, we have assembled a list of small business grants you can apply for in March.

Mona Small Business Impact Grant

This $5,000 grant will go toward a business that puts its communities first, whether by creating opportunities where none existed or by catering to underserved populations.

Mona, a small business funding co-pilot that connects small businesses to capital, will select a winner based on the business impact and its purpose and vision. Companies need to have 30 or fewer employees and have earned less than $5 million in revenue in 2025.

The company also needs to have an active website or social media presence. Applications are due March 16 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Winners will be notified between April 13 and April 24.

Skip grants

Skip, an online platform for business plans and funding opportunities, is offering two $10,000 grants. Business need to be based in the United States, and one of the $10,000 grants will go toward a Skip paid member. Applications are due by March 6, 11:59 p.m. EST.

Intuit Quickbooks offers $20,000 grant program

The Intuit Quickbooks and Mailchimp Small Business Hero Program recognizes small-business owners who have shown “courage, perseverance and integrity” in their communities with a $20,000 grant.

Three businesses will be recognized with grants and also will receive access to Quickbooks and Mailchimp services. Applicants must be U.S.-based businesses that have been in operation for at least a year, be registered with their local secretary of state, and have no more than 99 employees.

Applications are accepted across four “phases” throughout the year, with the next application deadline on May 15.

Breva Thrive Grant

The Thrive Grant by small-business funding and coaching platform Breva is offered on a rolling basis throughout the year. The winner receives a $5,000 grant. The coming application cycles close on April 30, July 31 and Oct. 31, with winners typically notified about 45 days later.

Applicants must have demonstrated an impact on the surrounding community, such as new jobs, new products or making services more accessible. Applicants are strongly preferred to have been in operation more than a year and must be generating revenue prior to the grant.
